A 3 RUN HOMER ON LABOR DAY WEEKEND for loh

3 RUN HOMER on LABOR DAY WEEKEND for LoH

Labor Day Weekend was exactly that for the team at Legacy of Honor, plenty of labor! But it was worth every minute. Three veterans and their families were able to be assisted with important needs.
Saturday, a Veteran from St. Clairsville who is moving to Canton had a need for our team to load and transport a substantial bedroom suite to a new living space in Canton. Mission Accomplished! Thanks to our very special teammates on this one and on every job!

On Monday, a Veteran’s widow in Beloit had a large wheelchair ramp she wished to donate to a veteran’s family needing one. It just so happened that a Canton veteran’s widow could no longer use her wheelchair ramp because the wood it was made of was rotted and pulled away from the house. She was literally housebound.

Beginning early on Labor Day, a team of six volunteers from Legacy of Honor first went to Beloit and disassembled the donated ramp. They then transported it to Canton where they proceeded to remove the old and rotting ramp away from the house. They were then able to install the new ramp. After her first ride down the new ramp and into the sunshine, our new LoH friend ecstatic!

Again a special thank you to each volunteer and to those who have donated in the past the funds it takes to make these special projects happen. Even with donated materials, transportation fuel, and other expenses require funding. Your dollars donated directly, through purchasing LoH Bears, and establishing Living Legacies for your loved-ones all go to making our work a success for military in service, veterans, first responders and their families. a special note from pres. dan

Would like to say a Special thank you to Stephanie S.
Quick story: approximately 3 weeks ago, the wonderful lady in the second picture found her self house bound and needing a Ramp replaced. After racking my brain after meeting her, I had no idea how we were going to afford a ramp but I knew it needed done.
Later that day : I get a totally random call from Stephanie, while not knowing the need, asked if we could use a ramp for a family in need. Her husband (a veteran) had passed away and she wanted to make sure she can help out somehow. She called half a dozen places and finally someone recommended us. (So the words getting out) We met and she was more than eager to donate to the cause.
Fast Forward: Yesterday we accomplished that task in a big way with the help of the greatest volunteer team to Walk this earth!
From the LOH Team: Thanks Stephanie!
It is crazy how God aligns such things!
